Is there any maximum risk rule?

There are no hard limits on maximum risk per trade idea. We know that every trader has a different edge, and we respect that.

That said, responsible risk management is at the core of what the SimFi environment measures. Here is what the data and experience show:

  • All-or-nothing behaviour: Risking the majority of your daily drawdown on a single trade idea is not what consistent, scalable trading looks like.

  • What works: The most successful traders on E8 risk between 1–1.5% per trade idea. This is not a rule but a clear pattern.

  • Risk team: If your approach is flagged as overly aggressive, E8's risk team may reach out to discuss adjusting it. Do not take it as a penalty; this is simply a part of how the SimFi environment supports traders in building sustainable performance habits.
